Dr. Eric Okoye

Dr. Ifeanyi Eric Okoye obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the then University of Ife, Ile-Ife. He subsequently pursued his post graduate training obtaining an M.Sc. and PhD in Pharmaceutical technology and Industrial pharmacy, graduating the best student in his class. Dr. Okoye is also an alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School, Boston, USA and the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Plateau, Nigeria. He is a fellow of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.

Dr. Okoye is a renowned entrepreneur and Industrialist who founded Juhel Nigeria Limited in 1989, which was the first tablet manufacturing company in Anambra State. His new factory in Awka is the largest manufacturer of intravenous drugs and infusions in Africa. He is also highly diversified and involved in other sectors of the Nigerian economy.

He is a member of the National Institute (MNI), Governing Council of the Standard Organization of Nigeria and Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra State. He has held several positions in both the public and private sectors including Vice President (National) of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) 2006-2010, Chairman Board of Directors, General Cotton Mill, Onitsha from 2007-2009 and currently the National Vice President of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and a member board of trustees, UNDP assisted Human Development Fund in Anambra state.

Dr. Okoye has numerous awards including a National Honor, Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the President, Anambra State Outstanding Business Award by the Governor, and also a recipient of the Abuja and Port Harcourt Chambers of commerce, industry, mines and agriculture.
